Expert session by Kundlik V. Mali in ISHRAE Pune Chapter

Dr. Kundlik Mali is a Professor and Associate Head - Academics of School of Mechanical Engineering at 

Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, Maharahstra, India;  He is an expert in Accreditation and Ranking of Institutions. 

 After completion of M.Tech. in Heat Power Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune with interest of continued education, He has undertaken the research work in the field of Refrigeration and Air conditioning. The research work has further continued in the same field especially on alternative refrigerants for air conditioning applications. His major contribution is the commercialization of air conditioner with HC-290 as an alternative refrigerants to HCFC-22. The air conditioner has successfully  commercialized in association with Godrej and Boyce Appliance Ltd., Vikroli,  Mumbai, Maharashtra. The developed air conditioner unit was first unveiled in March 2013. This work was well recognized and the degree, Doctor of Philosophy, was awarded to Dr. Kundlik Mali by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

Further another split air conditioner was designed and developed using HFC-32 as a replacement to HCFC-22 and R-410A at Blue Star Ltd. Thane. Dr. Mali along with Dr. S. Devotta and Dr. A. Padalkar were consultant for this project. Both of these developed air conditioners i.e. HC-290; and  HFC-32 were commercialized by respective eminent appliance manufacturing industries.
